Margaret Ann Dimond - Clinical Assistant Professor

With an extensive background teaching at the graduate level, Margaret Ann Dimond currently serves Michigan State University in East Lansing as a clinical assistant professor. Additionally, Margaret Ann Dimond is a board member of the Michigan School of Professional Psychology and also sits on the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy’s board of directors and the Olivet College board of trustees.

Ms. Dimond completed undergraduate studies in sociology and history at Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana. She subsequently pursued master's and doctoral studies at the University of Michigan, with a research focus on physician-administration relations at Henry Ford Hospital, where she helped to enact protocol designed to increase communication and improve physician satisfaction and retention rates. She holds a master’s degree in social work from Boston College and is author of the thesis Physician Focus Groups: An Applied Research Application.

An active volunteer, Ms. Dimond has helped organize The Great American Basset Waddle, a fundraiser in Birmingham, Michigan, that benefits the Michigan Basset Rescue. She has since fostered and homed more than 45 dogs.
